Friday afternoon: Tour around the historic center and El Pilar
Once you are settled in Zaragoza, we recommend you to enjoy the historical center of the city as a starting point.
Go to the majestic Plaza del Pilar (less than 300 meters away from our lockers in Zaragoza center), enter the Basilica to see the Virgin of Pilar and climb one of the towers to see Zaragoza from the sky.
Afterwards, visit the beautiful Cathedral of the Savior (La Seo), in the same Plaza, and walk along the bridges of the Ebro, stopping at the oldest bridge in the city, the Puente de Piedra, from which you will be able to take the most iconic photo of the city, with the Basilica del Pilar in the background.
If you have time, enjoy the vestiges of the great Roman and ancient past of the city, with places like the Roman Walls, the Roman Theater, squares such as San Bruno, Santa Marta, San Felipe, Plaza del Justicia, the Arch of the Dean or the Roman Forum Museum.
For dinner, we recommend you to enjoy the best tapas area of Zaragoza, known as “El Tubo”, where you will be able to taste impressive tapas of all kinds and an area full of life.
After that, it’s time to rest for the next day!

Saturday afternoon: A stroll along the main streets
After eating and resting for a while, you can follow the itinerary of a Zaragoza city break in Plaza España and go up the Paseo de la Independencia, where you will find the main commercial artery of the city, continue along the Gran Vía and Fernando el Católico until you reach the José Antonio Labordeta Park (better known as Parque Grande), the largest lung of the city and where you can relax in a wonderful green environment.
If you are a soccer fan, next to it you have the mythical stadium of La Romareda, the home of Real Zaragoza.
All along this route you will find a large number of bars and restaurants to have a drink or a snack or a hearty dinner, depending on what your body wants.
Sunday morning: Last visit and vermouth
On Sunday morning (depending on how late you have slept the night before), you can still take the opportunity to see some things. In case you feel up to it, you can visit the fantastic Aljafería Palace, built as a recreational residence and fortification of the Hudi kings in the 11th century and which currently serves as the official seat of the Cortes de Aragón.
After that, as a final colophon to the trip and the itinerary of what to do in Zaragoza in two days, our recommendation is that you return to the Tubo area to enjoy a vermouth properly. In broad daylight, with a fantastic atmosphere and in a relaxed way, to finish the route in the best way.
